Amgad Abdelghafar is a founding partner of GYA. He has represented ministers, prominent political and public figures, and leading businesspeople in complex and sensitive proceedings. He has more than thirty years of experience in criminal, economic and civil litigation, including investigations and proceedings before the Egyptian courts.
He has particular experience in public-funds and illicit-gains cases, alongside disputes involving significant public and financial interests. His work encompasses advising clients during investigations and representing them through successive stages of litigation.
He also acts in disputes involving companies, government entities and ministries, and handles the settlement of banking and financial disputes. His advice addresses the legal, regulatory and commercial considerations surrounding complex disputes.
