Information you provide
The form requests your name, email address and a brief description of your enquiry. Your telephone number and choice of practice area are optional. When you contact us by email or WhatsApp, we receive your contact details and the messages or documents you choose to send. If you telephone us, we receive the information you share during the call.
How we handle your enquiry
Our general enquiry team handles enquiries, including WhatsApp messages, confidentially and uses the information you provide to understand your enquiry, assess how we may assist and respond to you.
The enquiry form sends your information to info@gya-law.com through Infomaniak’s email service. Service providers supporting this communication process information as necessary to operate their services.
If you contact us through WhatsApp, WhatsApp also processes information about your use of its service under its own privacy policy. The WhatsApp and LinkedIn links on this website take you to those services; no embedded chat or social-media feed is loaded on this website.
Security records
The enquiry form uses a security cookie and technical records, including records derived from your IP address, to limit misuse and duplicate submissions. The cookie expires after two hours. These records are separate from the contents of your enquiry.
How long we keep information
We retain personal information only for as long as needed to handle the enquiry and related correspondence, meet applicable legal and professional obligations, or establish, exercise or defend legal claims. The appropriate period depends on the nature of the information and the matter concerned.
Your rights
Subject to the applicable conditions and exceptions, you may:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you, how it is used and obtain a copy.
- Request correction, completion, updating or deletion.
- Request that processing be restricted, or object to processing.
- Receive information you provided in a usable electronic format, or request its transfer where this right applies.
- Withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing.
- Be informed of a personal-data breach where notification is required.
- Exercise applicable rights concerning decisions based solely on automated processing that significantly affect you.
Requests and complaints
Send privacy requests and complaints to info@gya-law.com. We may request information reasonably necessary to verify your identity and locate the relevant correspondence. We will respond within the applicable time limits and explain any restriction or refusal.
Requests are considered alongside legal obligations, professional confidentiality and the rights of others. You may also complain to the competent data-protection authority or pursue other available remedies.
