Commercial arbitration
We examine the arbitration agreement, the contract and the record of performance to identify the issues in dispute. Our work includes preparing claims and responses, legal submissions and the documents required for hearings.
The practice draws on experience in proceedings under the rules of the ICC, LCIA, DIAC and CRCICA, and in disputes concerning the formation, performance and termination of contracts.
Mediation and negotiated resolution
We advise on mediation and settlement of commercial disputes, assess the parties’ legal positions and prepare the terms of a proposed resolution. This work includes reviewing how a settlement addresses the obligations in dispute and any continuing contractual relationship.
Awards and related court proceedings
Our experience includes proceedings to enforce foreign arbitral awards and applications to set arbitral awards aside. We review the award, the arbitration agreement and the procedural record to assess the available steps.
We also provide advice on Egyptian-law questions arising in cross-border disputes and international proceedings.
